Bishop Gregory Cooper, Sr. & First Lady, Elder Bessie Cooper

Bishop Gregory Cooper, Sr. is the Senior Pastor of two great ministries Antioch & Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Churches both located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

After serving so faithfully since the conception of The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship under the Leadership of his Spiritual Father Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr., he was elevated and consecrated to the Office of Bishop in 2008. Bishop Cooper now serves as the Regional Bishop for the Southern Region; He also served as First Assistant to Bishop L Lawrence Brandon Jr.

Bishop Cooper is married to Elder Bessie Cooper, who serves as First Lady. He is the father of two children; Sharonda Cooper-Dunn and Gregory Jr., He’s also grandfather of three Dwayne Dunn Jr., Treasure Soul Dunn, and DHeaven Lyric Dunn.

Bishop Cooper is a man after God’s own heart and fervently believes and states every day, “Today is a GREAT day to be ALIVE, and tomorrow will be even BETTER!”™

Born on February 16, 1961 and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Elder Bessie Cooper attended Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge. It was there where she met her best friend, companion for life, and greatest intercessor after Jesus, Gregory Cooper, Sr. They were married on November 18, 1979, and to this ordained union of God two children were born; Sharonda Cooper-Dunn and Gregory Cooper, Jr. She is the proud grandmother of 3 wonderful grandkids who lovingly call her “FANCY”: Dwayne Jr. known as “DJ the Genius”, Treasure Soul, and D’Heaven (Devin) Lyric.

Elder Cooper works and serves diligently as First Lady beside her husband Bishop Gregory Cooper, Sr. at Antioch and Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Churches both in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is also a part of one of the greatest moves of God the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the divine leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., where she serves as the Regional Director of the Daughters of the Promise, of the Southern Region. She is also a faithful spiritual daughter of General Overseer - Pastor Debra B. Morton.

Elder Cooper is a licensed counselor, anointed leader, and fire filled faith walker. However, if asked she would proudly tell you she is a child of the Most High God. She knows her assignment and understands that her walk with God is an ever-learning yet ever-increasing process. Often found wearing many hats, she maintains a balanced life of prayer, and she is often heard saying and stands firmly on “AIN’T NOBODY GOD, BUT GOD!”
